El Presidente Obama fue la esperanza de muchos inmigrantes indocumentados y ahora su política incierta hacia el hispanoparlante se ha vuelto un presagio. Lo cierto es que solo uso a los inmigrantes como cualquiera lo hace, los uso como un vaso desechable, y luego se olvido de ellos.
Pero el argumento de este editorial, no es el hecho de que no este respaldando una ley migratoria, sino que luego de repetir indefinidamente el "Si Se Puede", los Democratas estan demostrando que no cumplen lo que prometen, que bueno que no vote por ellos y que toda mi vida he sido republicano.
Los congresistas y líderes hispanos que aparecen en la prensa se muestran insatisfechos, inseguros, y con la gran responsabilidad de que no podrán cumplir lo que prometieron con el “Si se Puede”.
Aunque no toda la culpa es de Obama, pues hay que reconocer que la primera visita que hizo como presidente de los Estados Unidos fue a México, la agenda incluía en esos momentos Abril 16 del 2009, tratados migratorios.
Hay que reconocer que el índice de prioridad, es el desempleo y el programa de salud, por lo que el tema migratorio se ha ido postergando, no solo por la administración Obama, sino porque el Senador Kennedy, principal auspiciador de una reforma migratoria, ya fue suplido por un republicano, Scott Brown, un activista que supo manejarse ante los electores de Massachusetts, el 19 de enero del 2010, diciéndoles que la silla senatorial le correspondía al pueblo. “This is People’s Chair”.
Varios medios habían criticado con el adjetivo de “Dinosaurio” a Ted Kennedy, por mantenerse en el Senado desde 1962, pero ello se debió a que los liberales votaron en mayoría por él a lo largo de 12 comicios.
El triunfo del sucesor republicano, Scott Brown cambia toda la escena política en las agendas tanto de la cámara baja como alta, por el proceso ambicioso de la reforma de salud principalmente, y el excesivo gasto publico que en forma desmedida podría producir una catástrofe financiera ya que de por si Obama entro a la Casa Blanca con un déficit de la Guerra de Iraq que le heredo, George W. Bush.
Viendo el “Big Picture” Obama llega gastando más dinero del Gobierno no puede recaudar actualmente en impuestos. Tal gasto enfocado en planes que la mayoría son de ayuda inmediata aparentemente, pero que no generan empleos fijos, sino temporales.
El siguiente paso para que su política no fracase es que Obama requiere de más contribuyentes, “tax-payers”, de donde los podría sacar, of course, de la mano de obra indocumentada, son 12 millones aproximadamente, con que cada uno pague mil 500 dólares promedio por año, lo cual generaría una recaudación de: $18 000 000 000.
Si lo ve bien 18 mil millones de dólares por año, mas lo que generara al Gobierno las multas y cuotas de legalizar esos 12 millones de personas, sería otro tanto. Pero los latinos estamos en desventaja porque las prioridades anglosajonas han rebasado la perspectiva de atender la Reforma Migratoria.
Amo a México y a los Estados Unidos, cuando me entrevisto una reportera del diario, Atlanta Journal Constitution sobre my nacionalidad dual por mis raíces de mi abuena americana nativa, y me cuestionaron sobre posible un rompimiento de relaciones México y Estados Unidos mi respuesta fue: Seria como un divorcio, cuando los padres se divorcian los hijos aun aman a los padres, yo amo a México como mi madre, y a los Estados Unidos como mi padre.
Recuerden que hay un nutrido grupo de hispano parlantes que no cruzaron la frontera, sino que la frontera los cruzo a ellos, fue lo que le comento Eva Longoria a David Letterman en su Night Show, entonces si hay un nutrido grupo de latinos en Estados Unidos, no necesariamente todos pueden ser catalogados como inmigrantes.
También hemos pagado el precio, con impuestos, sirviendo en las guerras, en las agencias del Gobierno, trabajando arduamente para compañías que han generado grandes capitales.
Si el Presidente Obama y sus asesores no consideran este punto y no dan la oportunidad de que quienes califiquen, para que regularicen su status migratorio, será difícil que cuente con el voto hispano en la re-elección del 2012.
Ya las derrotas anticipadas están marcadas por varios congresistas demócratas que anuncian que no correrán en las campanas electorales de Noviembre del 2010, lo cual quiere decir que sus asesores ya les dieron un pronóstico muy claro de que sería un fracaso.
Ahora Obama pagara el precio político de haber tenido que aceptar una negociación forzada con la Hilary Clinton, y aceptar un grupo de asesores que no del todo se ve que este siendo competente, es inminente que ese gran orador como candidato, cuando llego a los hechos como presidente, se nota que él mismo esta frustrado y que lo tienen limitado en muchas cosas.
El Presidente Obama ha sabido asumir el costo político de la responsabilidad de ciertos errores, pero su juventud e inmadurez política las ha sabido capitalizar para dar sorpresas. No dudemos que luego de que logre la reconciliación para pasar su Ley de Salud, abogue por el paquete migratorio, para que el número de contribuyentes se engrose intempestiva y satisfactoriamente para el Servicio Interno de Impuestos.
Solo habría que ver si Nancy Pelosi le da permiso, o si los votantes de California reaccionan a tiempo, ya no será la Nancy Pelosi quien eclipse las decisiones en el senadoy del Presidente de los Estados Unidos.
